Journey

Constance Roucher is a French contemporary painter whose work explores creation as an inner language. Her practice exists at the intersection of narrative, symbol and emotion, where each canvas becomes an autonomous world shaped by memory, transformation and meaning.

Trained in law, communication and institutional relations (Université Panthéon-Sorbonne, Institut Catholique de Paris), she developed an early and nuanced understanding of representation, storytelling and symbolic power. This awareness now informs her artistic practice, in which each artwork operates as a visual statement.

In 2013, she joined IESA Arts & Culture and completed a professional third cycle focused on the contemporary art market. That same year, she collaborated with Galerie Catherine Houard during Art Paris Art Fair, working on communication and press relations and gaining first-hand insight into the dynamics of visibility, dissemination and the narrative framing of artworks.

Since 2014, she has developed a personal painting practice, exhibiting in Paris (La Bellevilloise, Galerie 30-32, Galerie du Sentier) while building a visual language that blends figures, abstraction, symbols and fragments of text.

Her work is deeply shaped by a decade of inner transformation, where motherhood, grief, metamorphosis, memory and feminine power became structuring forces in her painting.

Today, Constance develops an instinctive and layered body of work, in which color, gesture and material are used to build inner worlds, open narrative spaces shaped by intuition and human experience.
